AI POLICY

Out of respect, appreciation, and high regard for an individual’s original work, any article for which the core content is generated by or based on AI—such as ChatGPT—will not be accepted by EIJ. The use of AI is not permitted for the development of an article’s core content; it is only allowed for the purpose of improving readability and refining the use of foreign languages within the text.
At the time of submission, all authors must provide a declaration confirming that their article was not produced using AI, thereby ensuring the authenticity and validity of their work. Should it be discovered—even after publication—that an article published by EIJ was generated by AI, the journal will impose sanctions, including the retraction of the article and the blacklisting of all involved authors; this policy applies retroactively. By submitting, authors agree that the publisher and EIJ shall be held harmless against any claims arising from a violation of this AI policy that results in the aforementioned sanctions.
